Rebuild strength and pamper yourself after giving birth

After pregnancy and labour, the body needs special care and a gradual rebuilding process. Muscles, joints and connective tissue have been under pressure for many months, and the pelvic floor in particular needs targeted training. Pilates is one of the most gentle - yet effective - ways to regain strength, stability and energy as a new mum.

Reformer / Tower postnatal training - closed course over 10 weeks

In our postnatal classes, you meet once a week with the same participants. This provides security and continuity - and your instructor can follow you closely throughout the programme. Our postnatal classes have a maximum of 7 participants.

Why Pilates after giving birth?

Helps your body safely get back in shape - from the inside out.
Provides tools to avoid discomforts such as back pain and tension in the neck and shoulders.
Creates a strong pelvic floor that you can build on in remedial training.
Provides energy, calm and renewed vigour during a busy time with a toddler.

Practical information about baby and Pilates

We know that travelling with a small baby can be a challenge - that's why we welcome them too. 

Your baby is not a part of the exercises, but you are always welcome to bring them into the class and there is space for the pram in the courtyard.  

Your training is the focus - but of course you can take care of breastfeeding and nappy changes along the way

Who can train?

You will usually be able to start our postnatal classes 6-8 weeks after giving birth. 

If you are unsure if you can train, ask your doctor or therapist for advice before signing up.

You don't need to have done Pilates before to participate.

Remember that we always train with non-slip socks - you can bring your own or buy them in the studio.
