Reformer / Tower postnatal training - closed 8-week course
In our postnatal classes, you meet once a week with the same participants. This provides security and continuity - and your instructor can follow you closely throughout the programme. Our postnatal classes have a maximum of 7 participants.
In the programme, we work especially with:
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation and contact to the deep abdominal muscles
- Exercises for split abdominal muscles (rectus diastasis)
- Gentle exercises that strengthen the back and shoulders that are often strained after pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Strength and stability so you can gradually and comfortably return to your active life
- Mobility and stretching to relieve tension and calm the body
We train on our reformer/tower equipment combined with matwork exercises and the use of small props like light weights, barrels,
Why Pilates after giving birth?
Helps your body safely get back in shape - from the inside out.
Provides tools to avoid discomforts such as back pain and tension in the neck and shoulders.
Creates a strong pelvic floor that you can build on in remedial training.
Provides energy, calm and renewed vigour during a busy time with a toddler.
Practical information about baby and Pilates
We know that travelling with a small baby can be a challenge - that's why we welcome them too.
Your baby is not a part of the exercises, but you are always welcome to bring them into the class and there is space for the pram in the courtyard.
Your training is the focus - but of course you can take care of breastfeeding and nappy changes along the way
Who can train?
You will usually be able to start our postnatal classes 6-8 weeks after giving birth.
If you are unsure if you can train, ask your doctor or therapist for advice before signing up.
You don't need to have done Pilates before to participate.
